What kind of wicks do you use?
We only use cotton, with a paper core, for all our wicks. Rest assured, absolutely no lead (or any other heavy metals for that matter) here!
I have a retail store. Do you sell your soy candles wholesale?
Yes, we do offer wholesale rates. If you're interested in becoming a retailer please fill out the form on our wholesale page and we will contact you shortly with our pricing information and terms.
What do you use to scent your candles?
We use fragrance oils in all our candles that are formulated for use in soy wax. This ensures our soy candles have a great scent throw. Our customers often comment that they all smell very pure and true to form.
Do you sell any unscented soy candles?
Many of you had asked... and we listened! We now offer our travel tins, 5 oz glasses, 9 oz glasses, as well as our tealights in an unscented option.
Do you make custom orders?
Whether you are planning a wedding or other event or just want that special candle, we can make almost any size, color and fragrance you prefer. However, we do not make pillar candles. If you are interested in ordering custom soy candles, please contact Christy for a quote.
My soy candle didn't last a long time. What did I do wrong?
- If burning a soy votive, it is especially important to burn it in a holder, as soy wax is a much softer wax. The tighter the fit the longer the burn time.
- Keep the wick trimmed to 1/4 inch at all times.
- Keep it out of drafts to ensure the flame does not get too large.
- The first time you burn your candle, you should burn it long enough so that the melt pool goes as far to the edge of the container as possible - about an hour per inch of the candle's diameter. So for instance, for a three inch round candle, you should burn it for at least three hours. This creates a memory for your candle and ensures it won't tunnel burn.
A neat trick most people don't know...
When extinguishing a candle, dip the wick into the liquid wax using a non-flammable instrument and pull it back up. This technique eliminates smoking so all you'll be left with is the great fragrance of your candle! We now sell wick dippers specially designed just for this purpose.
Can I bring your glasses back to you to refill?
We love to recycle! When you're finished burning our candles, return the glasses and receive a discount on your next order.
